Oakhanger Vineyard
A new, family-owned vineyard in Hampshire’s South Downs .
Nestling in the South Downs National Park in the village of Oakhanger, is our new vineyard where, sheltered by oak trees, we grow pinot noir and bacchus grapes.
Our grapes
We have 4,000 vines covering 1 hectare; 2,700 being pinot noir and 1,300 being bacchus vines. We planted our vines in May 2020 and have just had our third harvest (Autumn 2024).
The vines are sheltered by oak trees and have good draining, fertile soil. We planted the vineyard in a field adjacent to our house, so are lucky to enjoy fine views and can keep a close eye on the vines, from morning to night.
